Introduction: Patient-reported outcomes measures (PROMs) are increasingly prevalent in healthcare and used for shared decision-making and healthcare quality evaluation. However, the extent to which patients with varying health literacy levels can complete PROMs is often overlooked. This may lead to biased aggregated data and patients being excluded from studies or other PROM collection initiatives.

Oncologic outcomes of de-escalating axillary treatment in clinically node-positive breast cancer patients treated with neoadjuvant systemic therapy - A two center cohort study.

Background: The aim of the present study was to report the 5-year axillary recurrence-free interval (aRFI) in clinically node-positive breast cancer patients treated according to a de-escalating axillary treatment protocol after neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NST).

Methods: All patients diagnosed in two hospitals between October 2014 and March 2021 were identified retrospectively. Data on diagnostic workup, treatment and follow-up was collected.

Objectives: Corticosteroids are used to prevent or treat lung disease of prematurity. While neurological side effects have been reported, detailed effects on cerebellar growth are unknown. This study aimed to compare cerebellar growth in premature infants who received dexamethasone or hydrocortisone to premature infants who did not receive postnatal corticosteroids.

Proxy Decision-Making for Clinical Research in Nursing Home Residents with Dementia: A Qualitative Analysis.

Objectives: The benefit-risk ratio of many interventions remains unclear in older adults with dementia. Efforts for more representative trial inclusion are made; however, recruiting and particularly gaining informed consent remains complex. For research participation, dementia compels the designation of a legal guardian (LG) to give proxy consent.

Prediction of successful revision surgery for mesh-related complaints after inguinal hernia and pelvic organ prolapse repair.

Purpose: With this retrospective case series, we aim to identify predictors for reduction of pain after mesh revision surgery in patients operated for inguinal hernia or pelvic organ prolapse with a polypropylene implant. Identifying these predictors may aid surgeons to counsel patients and select appropriate candidates for mesh revision surgery.

Methods: Clinical records before and after mesh revision surgery from 221 patients with chronic postoperative inguinal pain (CPIP) and 59 patients with pain after pelvic organ prolapse (POP) surgery were collected at two experienced tertiary referral centers.
