Brain neurosonography was performed in 15 babies with toxicosis-+-linked nervous disorders. Three types of the brain structure were established in the patients: 1, marked brain swelling in all patients; 2, concomitant perinatally induced brain structures' changes; 3, intracranial hemorrhage focuses resulting from the DIC syndrome. The technique is useful for precise diagnosis and prognosis of the outcome of the neurotoxic coma.

A total of 272 mature newborn babies with perinatal neurological pathology and convulsive syndrome were studied. EEG, USI, diaphanoscopy, CT, blood tests for glucose, Calcium, Magnesium, bilirubin, pyridoxal-5-phosphate were performed. Cerebral structure was changed in 50.
