Roncoleukin--recombinant IL-2--was studied with a view to application for LAK therapy. Lymph of ductus thoracicus from ovarian cancer patients receiving adjuvant autolymphochemotherapy was used as source of lymphocytes. Immunobiologic activity of lymphocytes was assayed after 30-minutes incubation with roncoleukin and 24- or 48-hours culturing.

Lymphocyte and erythrocyte membrane microviscosites of lipid-protein contact zones and lipid bilayer in blood of patients with gastric, urinary bladder and ovary cancers were investigated in comparison with healthy volunteers by means of coefficients of eximerization of fluorescent probe pyrene. The decrease of membrane fluidity (i.e.

A luminescence microspectral examination of lymphocytes in peripheral blood sampled from ovarian tumor patients has shown spectral pattern, and, particularly, parameter alpha (ratio of one-spiral to two-spiral nucleic acids in cell) and parameter alpha distribution pattern to vary in the course of treatment: as efficacy increases, the lymphocyte fluorescence spectrum shows two peaks (lambda = 530 and 640 nm) of nearly identical intensity, parameter alpha grows, too, and its distribution shifts to the right. This mirrors an activation of synthetic and functional processes going on in peripheral blood lymphocytes of patients and points to enhanced non-specific resistance.

Aspiration diagnostic puncture of a three-dimensional structure in the retroperitoneal space and abdominal cavity palpated through the anterior abdominal wall was performed in 58 patients. The puncture was carried out in cases of pathological processes arising from the stomach, large intestine, pancreas, kidneys, adrenal gland, ovaries, retroperitoneal lymph nodes, mesenchyma, and smooth-muscle tissue, and in appendicular and paravesical abscesses. The findings of cytological examination correctly pointed out the nature of the pathological process in 78% of cases.
