Isoniazid and rifampicin co-therapy are the main causes of anti-tuberculosis drug-induced liver injury (ATB-DILI) and acute liver failure, seriously threatening human health. However, its pathophysiology is not fully elucidated. Growing evidences have shown that fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) play a critical role in diverse aspects of liver pathophysiology.

The ARCN1 gene encodes the delta subunit of the coatomer protein complex I (COPI), which is essential for mediating protein transport from the Golgi complex to the endoplasmic reticulum. Variants in ARCN1 are associated with clinical features such as microcephaly, microretrognathia, intrauterine growth restriction, short rhizomelic stature, and developmental delays. We present a case of a patient exhibiting intrauterine growth restriction, preterm birth, microcephaly, micrognathia, and central precocious puberty.

Lipid droplet formation induced by icaritin derivative IC2 promotes a combination strategy for cancer therapy.

Background: Lipid metabolism is crucial in cancer progression. Lipid droplets (LDs) generated in cancer cells can act as protective mechanisms through alleviating lipotoxicity under stress conditions. We previously developed IC2 from the Chinese medicine icaritin as an inhibitor of stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1 (SCD1).

Efficacy and Safety of Nefecon in Patients with IgA Nephropathy from Mainland China: 2-Year NefIgArd Trial Results.

Background: IgA nephropathy (IgAN), an immune-mediated kidney disease, is particularly prevalent among individuals of East Asian ancestry. Nefecon is a novel, oral, targeted-release budesonide formulation designed to inhibit galactose-deficient IgA1 formation underlying IgAN pathophysiology. We present findings in patients with IgAN from mainland China participating in the 2-year, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, phase 3 NefIgArd trial of nefecon.

Proactive personality, burnout, and teaching enjoyment: exploring relationships in Chinese English teachers.

Introduction: This study examines the relationships between proactive personality, burnout, and teaching enjoyment among Chinese English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers. The research aims to clarify how proactive personality traits relate to teaching enjoyment and burnout and to explore their interactions in the context of EFL instruction.

Methods: The study included a sample of 420 Chinese EFL teachers, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to assess the relationships among proactive personality, burnout, and teaching enjoyment.
