Assessing CRNA Knowledge of Local Anesthetic Systemic Toxicity Treatment.

Local anesthetic systemic toxicity (LAST) is a rare life-threatening adverse event. Due to the potential for devastating patient outcomes, it is crucial for anesthesia providers to understand appropriate LAST management. The primary aim of this study was to assess certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) knowledge of the 2020 American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) LAST treatment guidelines.

[Early and late biomarkers of late myocardium necrosis in patients with acute coronary syndrome].

Cardio-vascular diseases and acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in the first place play the first role in the structure of diseases and mortality of world population. Effective method of diagnostics of ACS consists in detecting early and late biomarkers of myocardium necrosis. The article presents characteristics of such biomarkers indices as myoglobin, cardiotroponins, MB-fractions of creatine phosphokinase, cardio-form of protein, lactate dehydrogenase, aspartate aminotransferase.

Rho and Rho-kinase (ROCK) signaling in adherens and gap junction assembly in corneal epithelium.

Purpose: To examine whether Rho and its downstream target, a Rho-associated kinase (ROCK), are involved in the regulation of the assembly of cadherin-mediated cell adhesion and connexin 43 (Cx43) gap junctions in corneal epithelium.

Methods: Rho and ROCK activities in rabbit corneal epithelial cells in culture were inhibited by microinjection of a Clostridium botulinum ADP-ribosyltransferase (C3) and treatment with a ROCK specific inhibitor (Y-27632), respectively. Immunocytochemical and Western blot techniques were used to study the distribution and relative concentrations of E-cadherin and Cx43.

[The priorities of scientific research efforts in Ukraine on social hygiene and public health organization over the last decade].

A study is presented of the structure of research on the problem "Social hygiene and public health organization" and a detailed logometric analysis has been carried out of primary research data in the Ukraine during 1980-1989. Expertise values were used for determination of the priority and development, as well as practical significance of scientific trends in the Ukraine.

A study of glenohumeral orientation in patients with anterior recurrent shoulder dislocations using computerized axial tomography.

Thirty-six patients with recurrent anterior shoulder dislocations and 11 normal patients who had no history of shoulder problems were evaluated by a G.E. 8800 fourth generation computerized axial tomographer to quantitate humeral head retrotorsion and glenoid tilt.
