[Etiologic features of nosocomial sinusitis].

Unlabelled: The article presents a study of the qualitative and quantitative structure of etiologically significant microorganisms received from patients with nosocomial sinusitis from intensive care units of multiprofile and infectious diseases hospitals.

Objective: To evaluate the qualitative and quantitative composition of the causative agents of nosocomial sinusitis and their sensitivity to antibacterial chemotherapy drugs in modern conditions.

Material And Methods: During the period 2022-2023, we selected 45 patients from 6 ICU based on a multidisciplinary hospital and 11 patients from the ICU based on an infectious profile hospital, who were diagnosed with nosocomial sinusitis based on anamnesis, clinical picture, and computed tomography results.

Cucurbiturils are a family of macrocyclic oligomers capable of forming host-guest complexes with various molecules. Due to noncovalent binding to drug molecules and low toxicity, cucurbiturils has been extensively investigated as potential carriers for drug delivery. However, the immune system's interactions with different drug carriers, including cucurbiturils, are still under investigation.

Assessment of the Biocompatibility of Cucurbiturils in Blood Cells.

Currently, cucurbiturils are being actively researched all over the world. Research is focused on the ways of improving the solubility and selectivity of cucurbiturils, increasing the stability of the complexes with other particles in various media and enhancing their ability to bind and release various substances. The most significant area of our research is the assessment of safety, studying the biological properties and synergistic effects of cucurbiturils during complexation with drugs.

[Polymorphism of estrogen 1 receptor locus in populations of pigs of different genotypes and its association with reproductive charasteristics in large white sows].

Populations of Large White, Large Black, Poltava Meaty, Pietrain and Meishan pigs are characterized by intron PvuII-polymorphism in the estrogen 1 receptor gene (ESRI). The breeds differ in ESR1-allele frequencies and genotypes. In the populations there are deviations in genotype distribution from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.

Effects of recombinant IL-4delta2 on human peripheral blood mononuclears.

In human cells, expression of IL-4 gene involves alternative mRNA splicing. IL-4delta2 splice variant is an antagonist of full-length IL-4 protein and blocks its effect on the functional activity of immunocompetent cells. The effect of recombinant IL-4delta2 on cytokine-producing activity of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells is shown for the first time.
