Introduction: The reduction of the distal tibiofibular syndesmosis (SyTFd) is a crucial factor in the functional prognosis following a suprasyndesmotic ankle fracture. Few studies have compared, using computed tomography (CT), the quality of SyTFd reduction in Weber C ankle fractures (WebC) and Equivalent Weber C (EqWebC) fractures, where there is a medial ligament injury instead of a bony malleolar lesion. This CT-based study aimed to answer the following questions: (1) Do Weber C fractures allow for better reduction of the distal tibiofibular syndesmosis compared to Equivalent Weber C fractures? (2) Are the functional outcomes one year postoperatively better for Weber C fractures compared to Equivalent Weber C fractures?

Hypothesis: The hypothesis was that WebC fractures would present better reduction of the SyTFd than EqWebC fractures due to the restoration of bone anatomy, considering the bony nature of the medial ligament involvement.

Stimulator of interferon genes (STING) is a promising target for potentiating antitumor immunity, but multiple pharmacological barriers limit the clinical utility, efficacy, and/or safety of STING agonists. Here we describe a modular platform for systemic administration of STING agonists based on nanobodies engineered for hitchhiking of agonist cargo on serum albumin. Using site-selective bioconjugation chemistries to produce molecularly defined products, we found that covalent conjugation of a STING agonist to anti-albumin nanobodies improved pharmacokinetics and increased cargo accumulation in tumor tissue, stimulating innate immune programs that increased the infiltration of activated natural killer cells and T cells, which potently inhibited tumor growth in multiple mouse tumor models.

Introduction: The role of the subscapularis following reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) remains controversial as repair could restore adequate internal rotation and shoulder stability, but might compromise external rotation. The purpose of this multi-centre study, on a large cohort of RSAs performed using the deltopectoral approach, was to determine the effect of subscapularis preoperative status and intraoperative repair on range of motion, clinical scores and rates of complications at a minimum follow-up of 2 years.

Hypothesis: Repair of a functional subscapularis grants better internal rotation and stability without compromising external rotation.
