Background: Noninvasive caries treatments work topically, which may limit efficacy. The authors hypothesized that an alternative approach using mineral-loaded particles designed to target the subsurface of noncavitated caries lesions could be advantageous. This study shows in vitro proof-of-concept.

The Multifaceted Actions of PVP-Curcumin for Treating Infections.

Curcumin is a natural compound that is considered safe and may have potential health benefits; however, its poor stability and water insolubility limit its therapeutic applications. Different strategies aim to increase its water solubility. Here, we tested the compound PVP-curcumin as a photosensitizer for antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) as well as its potential to act as an adjuvant in antibiotic drug therapy.

Child and family health nurses' roles in the care of infants and children: A scoping review.

Child and family health nurses (CFHNs) work in a variety of settings with families to promote optimal growth and development in infants and children from birth to 5 years. Literature is available about models of care that CFHNs use in their work, but there is limited information about how CFHNs enact care specifically for infants and children. The aim of this scoping review was to identify and contextualize existing knowledge of how CFHNs, both in Australia and internationally, care for infants and children.

Promoting physical activity to disabled people: messengers, messages, guidelines and communication formats.

Aim: The purpose of this paper is to share insights from an ongoing project that seeks to promote physical activity to disabled people.

Method: Narrative commentary.

Results: An overlooked yet important group of messengers for promoting physical activity is first highlighted.
