The present study investigated associations of sexual orientation and/or gender identity-based medical mistrust and racial/ethnic-based medical mistrust, respectively, with unmet medical care need among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or sexually or gender diverse (LGBTQ+) people of color (POC) assigned female at birth (AFAB). We also tested the interaction of the two types of medical mistrust on unmet medical care need. Participants were 266 LGBTQ+ POC AFAB.

Introduction: Persons with mild and moderate intellectual disability (MMID) have the right to participate in all aspects of society and be afforded equal opportunities to realise their full potential. However, it is a challenge for persons with MMID to find and maintain employment due to many different barriers. Currently, there is no contextually relevant framework in South Africa that considers the unique employment support needs and accommodation of persons with MMID, which can guide and inform the transition to employment interventions, strategies and national policy directives.

Developing bryophytes differentially modify their plasmodesmata structure and function. Secondary plasmodesmata formation via twinning appears to be an ancestral trait. Plasmodesmata networks in hornwort sporophyte meristems resemble those of angiosperms.

Loneliness poses a formidable global health challenge in our volatile, post-pandemic world. Prior studies have identified promising interventions to alleviate loneliness, however, little is known about their effectiveness. This study measured the effectiveness of educational entertainment ("edutainment") and/or evidence-based, written health messages in alleviating loneliness and increasing intention to cope with loneliness.
