It is well recognised that endothermic processes such as dehydration and partial melting have the potential to exert measurable effects on the maximum temperatures reached in metamorphic rock systems. We show migmatitic metapelitic and mafic granulites record temperatures of ~ 820 °C, while spatially associated refractory Mg-Al-rich granulites record temperatures between 865 °C and > 920 °C. These thermally contrasting samples are separated by ~ 1500 m, with no apparent intervening faults or shear zones to explain the apparent difference in peak metamorphic conditions.

Over the past 10 years, the standards have been translated to six languages, endorsed by 13 organizations, surveyed at 101 hospitals in 54 countries, and initiatives have been documented at over 63 institutions in 31 countries. Going forward, the SIOP Nursing Network's Baseline Standards Special Interest Group has established a 5-year strategic plan to guide advocacy, research, and standards implementation through global multidisciplinary collaboration.

Children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders have inherent risk factors that increase the likelihood of injury from falls. The Hematology/Oncology (HO) and Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) inpatient units at Boston Children's Hospital embarked on a multiyear quality improvement journey to reduce inpatient falls in this population.

We describe the development of a pragmatic tool focusing on interdisciplinary communication during patient deterioration (CritCom).
Methods: The preliminary CritCom tool was developed after a literature review and consultation with a multidisciplinary panel of global experts in communication, pediatric oncology, and critical care to review the domains and establish content validity iteratively.
Background: The COVID-19 vaccine is important for children with sickle cell disease (SCD). This quality improvement project's objective was to increase the proportion of children with SCD receiving ≥2 COVID-19 vaccine doses to ≥70% by June 2022.
Methods: We used the Model for Improvement framework.
