Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a prevalent neuropathic disorder caused by chronic compression of the median nerve, leading to sensory and motor impairments. Conventional treatments, such as corticosteroid injections, wrist splinting, and surgical decompression, often fail to provide adequate outcomes for chronic or recurrent cases, emphasizing the need for innovative therapies. Hydrogels, highly biocompatible three-dimensional biomaterials with customizable properties, hold significant potential for CTS management.

Maternity Care Providers' Experiences with Providing Information on Newborn Bloodspot Screening During Pregnancy: A Dutch Survey Study.

Newborn bloodspot screening (NBS) aims to detect treatable disorders in newborns to offer early interventions. According to the official Dutch national NBS guidance, parents in the Netherlands should be informed about NBS during pregnancy by maternity care providers (MCPs), providing two leaflets and oral information. This study investigated what, how, and when information about NBS is given during pregnancy according to Dutch MCPs.

Human-robot interactions and experiences of staff and service robots in aged care.

The rise of robotics in aged care is transforming how older adults are cared for, addressing staff shortages and workload. Daily interactions with staff and residents highlight an urgent need to better understand and improve human-robot interactions. This study investigates how 34 staff interacted with 10 service robots in a regional Australian aged care facility over 5 years, focusing primarily on their experience with service robots that transported meals and laundry.

Evaluation of the Cow's Milk and Hen's Egg Ladder in Daily Practice: A Parent Perspective.

Evaluation of the cow's milk (CM) and hen's egg (HE) ladder to improve medical care of children with CM and/or HE allergy. Through an anonymous retrospective online questionnaire, we investigated parent perspectives regarding the therapy option of a CM and HE ladder in children with CM and/or HE allergy. Of the 54 families contacted, 29 took part in the study.
