Objective: Demonstrate the effectiveness of complex decongestive therapy (CDT) in patients with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).
Methods: A single-blind randomized controlled trial was conducted, where the participants were patients with CVI (n = 21/42) were assigned randomly to an experimental group (n = 11/22) or a control group (n = 9/18). A treatment of CDT (manual lymphatic drainage, intermittent pneumatic presotherapy, bilayer bandage) was applied to the experimental group for 4 weeks 2 days per week and no treatment was applied to the control group.
Background: The presence of Spigelman stage (SS) IV duodenal polyposis is considered the most significant risk factor for duodenal cancer in patients with -associated polyposis (MAP). However, advanced SS disease is rarely reported in MAP patients, and no clear recommendations on small bowel (SB) surveillance have been proposed in this patient setting.
Aim: To research more because that case reports of duodenal cancers in MAP suggest that they may develop in the absence of advanced benign SS disease and often involve the distal portion of the duodenum.
Pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH) of the breast is a rare and benign medical condition in which the breast tissue is affected by an abnormal myofibroblastic proliferation, which mimics a low-grade sarcoma angiomatous proliferation. PASH usually presents itself either as a palpable mass or as an incidental diagnosis during breast specimens' histological examination. A few cases have been reported in the literature of a diffuse form of breast PASH syndrome in which the clinical presentation is a bilateral form of gigantomastia without palpable masses.

The clinical protocol of CKD forecasts that markers such as serum creatinine, the estimate of the glomerular filtration rate value, microalbuminuria, cystatin c are evaluated as routine markers. In recent years, new studies have identified new markers to diagnose and assess the level of kidney damage.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the resilience and nutritional quality of 11 highbush blueberry cultivars and two new selections (from the New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Ltd breeding program) in Mediterranean hot summer climate conditions by measuring plant yield, seasonality, fruit sensorial traits, and phytochemical content in the fruits.
