Background: Robotic-assisted percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a novel technology that permits remote operation of interventional devices. However, little is known about the safety and effectiveness of introducing a robotic PCI program in a hospital already experienced in traditional coronary angioplasty.
Methods: Prospective single-arm survey to assess the safety and effectiveness of robotic-assisted PCI in comparison to pre-defined performance goals.
Aim: To investigate the effect of colour scale choice on diagnostic performance in the interpretation of medical images.
Materials And Methods: Twelve clinicians interpreted 210 myocardial computed tomography (CT) perfusion (CTP) examinations, and nine clinicians interpreted 165 magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) prostate images. In three separate sessions, each participant read the same image set using greyscale, hot-iron, and rainbow scales, respectively.
A recent analysis using family history weighting and co-observation classification modeling indicated that BRCA1 c.594-2A > C (IVS9-2A > C), previously described to cause exon 10 skipping (a truncating alteration), displays characteristics inconsistent with those of a high risk pathogenic BRCA1 variant. We used large-scale genetic and clinical resources from the ENIGMA, CIMBA and BCAC consortia to assess pathogenicity of c.

We investigated the role of NOD2 in vitro in the response of macrophages to Plasmodium falciparum products. Immortalized or primary bone marrow derived macrophages from wild type C57Bl/6 mice, or knockout mice for NOD2 or its adaptor proteins, were either primed with interferon gamma or left untreated, and stimulated with parasite products.
