Traumatic Anterior Hip Dislocation With an Open Book Pelvic Fracture and Femoral Artery Compression: An Atypical Case Report.

Case: A 34-year-old patient was involved in a motorcycle accident, resulting in an anterior hip dislocation associated with an open book pelvic fracture and compression to the femoral artery. He required an emergent closed reduction of the hip dislocation and open reduction and internal fixation of the pelvic fracture.

Conclusion: This case underscores the importance of maintaining a high level of suspicion for anterior hip dislocation, particularly in patients involved in motorcycle accidents, where a flexed, abducted, and externally rotated hip is common.

Ultrasonography with color Doppler is the most quantitative analysis method for intra-renal parameters. There is a wide variation between authors in the measurement site and referencing the inter-lobar resistivity index (RI) in felines. Our objective is to morphometrically and ultrasonographically investigate the normal renal dimensions and vasculatures and draw up a normal reference value for the renal inter-lobar artery resistivity index (RI) using a Pulsed wave-Doppler ultrasonography.

Trust in government moderates the association between fear of COVID-19 as well as empathic concern and preventive behaviour.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, behavioural scientists aimed to illuminate reasons why people comply with (or not) large-scale cooperative activities. Here we investigated the motives that underlie support for COVID-19 preventive behaviours in a sample of 12,758 individuals from 34 countries. We hypothesized that the associations of empathic prosocial concern and fear of disease with support towards preventive COVID-19 behaviours would be moderated by trust in the government.

Enhancing Permeability: Unraveling the Potential of Microporous Organic Polymers in Mixed Matrix Membranes.

Mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) were formed by using seven polymeric matrices with a wide range of permeabilities. All of the polymeric matrices have been polyimides, namely: P84, Pi-DAPOH, Pi-DAROH, Matrimid, Pi-HABAc, PI-DAM, and PIM-1 in the order of increasing O permeability. A fixed (10%) concentration of a microporous organic polymer (TFAP-Trp), formed by the combination of trifluoroacetophenone and triptycene, was added as a porous filler.

Precision Oncology and Systemic Targeted Therapy in Pseudomyxoma Peritonei.

Purpose: Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) is a rare and poorly understood malignant condition characterized by the accumulation of intra-abdominal mucin produced from peritoneal metastases. Currently, cytoreductive surgery remains the mainstay of treatment but disease recurrence and death after relapse frequently occur in patients with PMP. New therapeutic strategies are therefore urgently needed for these patients.
