The article provides a comprehensive characterization of young people on the eve of creating a family including the evaluation of socioeconomic, socio-demographic, socio-psychological features sexual behaviour of brides and bridegrooms before marriage, the use of contraceptives, etc. An analysis is also made of the morbidity among brides and bridegrooms and comprehensive evaluation of their health status with regard to the group of health.

The article provides the research findings on the training of schoolchildren in family life within the limits of school education (training course on "Ethics and psychology of family life"). Organisational issues are described, shortcomings are revealed. By means of anonymous questionnaire survey of schoolchildren their awareness of different aspects of family life, the sources of information, the role of school and health workers in conducting this work among pupils, etc.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe study results are provided of the "Marriage and Family" consulting centres activities: some organizational issues (structure, staff, training of specialists, etc), contingents of visitors, and also some qualitative indices of medical care provided to population. It has been found that "Marriage and Family" consulting centres being the structural subdivisions of ambulatory and outpatient institutions do not have curative and diagnostic facilities and therefore cannot provide a comprehensive examination and treatment of patients seeking care in these institutions. The study provided a foundation for suggesting the ways of improving medico-psychological care to the family.
