As an important member of the Siglec family, SIGLEC-15 plays an important role in osteoclast differentiation, bone remodeling, and tumor immune evasion. In the tumor microenvironment, SIGLEC-15 functions independently of the B7-H1/PD-1 pathway. In this study, the SIGLEC-15 fusion protein (SIGLEC-15-Fc) was successfully expressed and purified using a eukaryotic expression system.

In this study, we uncovered that triptolide (TP) effectively suppresses the migration and invasiveness of MDA-MB-231 cells by activating autophagic pathways. Western blotting analysis revealed that TP significantly reduced the expression levels of p62 protein, while simultaneously markedly increasing the expression levels of LC3B-II, BNIP3, BNIP3L, ATG5, and ULK1 proteins, strongly suggesting an enhancement of autophagic activity in the cells.

While effective in reducing portal pressure and preventing rebleeding, TIPS is associated with a considerable risk of overt hepatic encephalopathy (OHE), a complication that significantly elevates mortality rates.
Aim: To develop a machine learning (ML) model to predict OHE occurrence post-TIPS in patients with AVB using a 5-year dataset.
Background: Atherosclerosis (AS) is caused by the endothelium injury associated with oxidative stress. Previous studies have shown that the Phlegm-Eliminating and Stasis- Transforming Decoction (Huayu Qutan Decoction, HYQTD) has mitochondrial protective function. The objective of this research was to explore how HYQTD drug-containing serum (HYQTD-DS) could potentially protect mitochondrial energy production in endothelial cells (ECs) from injury caused by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)-induced oxidative damage in AS through SIRT1/PGC-1α/ Nrf2 pathway.

Here, we report a new method for synthesizing poly (heptazine imide) (PHI) using only a trace amount of NaF, which is 20 times less than the amount of NaCl typically required to achieve the PHI structure. Different from the prevailing view that salts function primarily as templates and chelating agents during polymerization, our research revealed the unique role that NaF plays in the polymerization of PHI.
