First study confirming the transmission of Trypanosoma vivax in cattle through rectal palpation: how many animals can be infected by reusing the same procedure glove, and what role does iodine play as a disinfectant?

The aim of this study was to investigate whether Trypanosoma vivax is transmitted via rectal palpation in cattle, using the same glove with different blood scores, from an animal with an acute infection of this protozoan. In addition, the efficacy of iodine as disinfectant, together with water with or without the presence of feces, to prevent the transmission of T. vivax in cattle during the rectal palpation process was evaluated in the laboratory and animals.

Parental perceptions of an oral health promotion program in early childhood education and care settings: A qualitative study.

Objectives: Early Childhood Caries is a global health problem. The Bright Smiles Bright Futures (BSBF) program seeks to equip educators, children, and parents with skills and knowledge about oral health promotion habits early in life. The aim of this study was to examine parental perceptions of the BSBF program and identify key facilitators and barriers for its implementation.

IL-12 and PD-1 peptide combination gene therapy for the treatment of melanoma.

Interleukin-12 (IL-12) gene electrotransfer (GET) delivery is highly effective in inducing long-term, complete regression in mouse and human melanoma and other solid tumors. Therapeutic efficacy is enhanced by immune checkpoint inhibitors, and the combination of IL-12 plasmid GET (pIL-12 GET) and anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) monoclonal antibodies has reached clinical trials. In this study, we designed peptides and plasmids encoding the mouse homologs of the pembrolizumab and nivolumab programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) binding regions.
