[Treatment of vertebrogenic lumbosacral radiculitis and lumbar ischialgia by transcutaneous-cavitary electrophoresis of drugs].

The work provides grounds for use of percutaneous-cavitary electrophoresis (bipolar electrophoresis through cutaneous electrodes after intrarectal and intrasigmoid application of the drug mixture) in lumbosacral pain syndromes. The technique is described. A total of 60 patients were under investigation including those with prolonged radiculitis and lumbo-ischialgia.

["Autohemoblock" in the treatment of lumbosacral pain syndromes].

A total of 125 patients with vertebrogenic lumbosacral radiculities and lumbar ischialgias (in many cases they were prolonged) were treated by the authors' original technique of the intra- and subcutaneous injection of autoblood in the projection of 3 pain points or (in the absence of their accentuation) in predetermined points. The treatment was effective in 83.9% of the patients including many in whom the previous treatment with other methods showed poor response.
