The estimation of dental age by cementum incremental lines (CIL) is a widely investigated method; however, its reliability remains uncertain. The aim of this article was to assess whether CIL are a reliable biological indicator for estimating dental age. A search was performed in Embase, LILACS, PubMed/MEDLINE, SciELO, Scopus and Web of Science databases using a combination of terms related to the topic.

- Vaccination safety is crucial, and Italy has implemented a plan to identify individuals at risk of adverse events (AEs) during COVID-19 vaccination.
- An audit in Reggio Emilia Province examined the risk assessment and occurrence of AEs after administering 182,056 first doses, revealing a low incidence of AEs at 0.3%, mainly non-serious and non-allergic.
- The study found that AEs were slightly more common in patients with prior allergist visits, but overall, a person's allergy history does not significantly predict COVID-19 vaccine-related AEs in the general population.
Objectives: Nonpharmacologic pain management strategies are needed because of the growing opioid epidemic. While studies have examined the efficacy of virtual reality (VR) for pain reduction, there is little research in adult inpatient settings, and no studies comparing the relative efficacy of standard animated computer-generated imagery (CGI) VR to Video Capture VR (360 degrees 3D/stereoscopic Video Capture VR). Here, we report on a randomized controlled trial of the relative efficacy of standard CGI VR versus Video Capture VR (matched for content) and also compared the overall efficacy of VR to a waitlist control group.

Numerical performance, as well as emotional factors such as math anxiety (MA), may influence vocational interests. The constructs of both vocational interests and MA are sensitive to gender differences.
