Red cabbage belongs to the economically important group of vegetable crops of the Brassicaceae family. A unique feature of this vegetable crop that distinguishes it from other members of the family is its unique biochemical composition characterized by high anthocyanin content, which gives it antioxidant properties. The production mainly uses F1 hybrids, which require constant parental lines, requiring 6-7 generations of inbreeding.

This review considers potential approaches to solve an important problem concerning the impact of applied pesticides of various classes on living organisms, mainly agricultural crops used as food. We used the method of multi-residual determination of several pesticides in agricultural food products with its practical application for estimating pesticides in real products and in model experiments. The distribution of the pesticide between the components of the soil-plant system was studied with a pesticide of the sulfonylureas class, i.

The speciation of radionuclides in bottom sediments of the Yenisei River, sampled in the near-field region of the nuclear fuel cycle enterprise, was studied. It has been established that most of Eu and Am radionuclides isolated by sequential chemical fractionation are in a bound state with the organic matter of bottom sediments (up to 35% of the total amount). In this case, the content of Eu and Am in depth of the bottom sediment layers is directly dependent on the change in the organic matter content.

Antibiotics are widely applied for plant cultivation in vitro to eliminate bacterial contamination. However, they can have both positive and negative effects on the cells of cultivated plants, and these effects largely depend on the type antibiotic used and its concentration. The objective of the present study was to estimate the effect of β-lactam antibiotics ampicillin (Amp) and cefotaxime (Cef) on microspore embryogenesis induction in vitro in the species.

Tritium is the least toxic radionuclide. The main contribution into the total tritium content in ecosystems is made by technogenic tritium, which is due to the operation of nuclear fuel cycle enterprises. The tritium content in the ecosystem of the River Yenisei is connected with its background values as well as with tritium entering the water ecosystem as a result of the operation of the Mining and Chemical Combine, MCC Rosatom.
