[About the biochemical criteria of heroin (narcotic) intoxication].

The article deals with the data of study of biochemical indicators and activity of particular proteolytic enzymes in blood serum of patients with heroin drug addiction. The results can be applied to detect the typical laboratory changes intrinsic to this kind of intoxication.

[The blood biochemical indicators in drug addicted patients with HIV-infection and viral hepatitis].

The article demonstrates that in drug addicted patients joining of viral infections (HIV hepatitis) results in increase of content of total and direct bilirubin, alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase and in decrease of content of urea. These processes testify the development of organopathologic complications in the form of liver's barrier functions impairment.

[Influence of the indometafen radioprotector on the immune reactivity].

In the experiments on dogs and mice it was shown that indometophene could modify the immune status of the body. Specific and non-specific resistance of mice to E. coli infection increased after indometophene administration.

[Comparative analysis of 2 sanitary-bacteriological methods of detecting bacteria of the Escherichia coli group in the environment].

A total of 965 parallel tests for coli bacilli were carried out using the wash-out or print methods in the course of sanitary and epidemiologic inspection of different objects. The methods used in the study were equally sensitive and provided compatible results which were in good correlation. The print method with bacterial tests is more rapid (by 24 hours) and helps detect other bacteria which grow in Endo's medium; moreover, it is three times cheaper than the labor-consuming wash-out method.
