Extracellular Hsp70 Reduces the Pro-Tumor Capacity of Monocytes/Macrophages Co-Cultivated with Cancer Cells.

Cancer cells are known to contain high levels of the heat shock protein 70 kDa (Hsp70), which mediates increased cell proliferation, escape from programmed cell death, enhanced invasion, and metastasis. A part of Hsp70 molecules may release from cancer cells and affect the behavior of adjacent stromal cells. To explore the effects of Hsp70 on the status of monocytes/macrophages in the tumor locale, we incubated human carcinoma cells of three distinct lines with normal and reduced content of Hsp70 with THP1 monocytes.

[Modern technology in assessing predisposition to deviant behaviour among servicemen].

One of the major problems in the acquisition of units of the Armed Forces is timely detection of individuals with deviant behaviour, which are prone to delinquent and addictive behaviour. The article presents the results of an analysis of existing methodologies aiming to identify servicemen abusing and occasionally using narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The characteristics of the proposed new automated complex psychological diagnosis socially determined behavioural disorders and methods is given.

The role of genetic and autoimmune factors in premature ovarian failure.

Purpose: To identify the role of both genetic (number of CGG repeats in the FMR1 gene) and autoimmune factors (anti-ovarian antibodies) in premature ovarian failure (POF).

Methods: In cross-sectional study, 78 women with POF were divided into 3 groups by the number of CGG repeats (less than 28, 28-36, more than 36) in any of the FMR1 gene alleles. We performed the detection of skewed X-chromosome inactivation, CGG repeats in the FMR1 gene, anti-ovarian antibodies (AOA) and sex hormones tests.
