Rationale And Patient Concerns: Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) and Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) are severe drug-induced skin reactions associated with a high mortality rate. The patient in this case report developed TEN after receiving the Velcade-lenalidomide-dexamethasone (VRD) regimen for the treatment of multiple myeloma (MM). The patient's concerns included the progression of the rash, pain, itching, and potential long-term complications.

Standard treatment of primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) in countries with limited resources remains conventional chemotherapy, with or without whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT). To evaluate the treatment outcomes, prognostic factors and costs in patients with PCNSL treated with high-dose Methotrexate, vincristine and procarbazine, plus Rituximab (MVP-R) followed by consolidation with reduced dose () WBRT and Cytarabine chemotherapy. We conducted an institutional audit of the first line treatment of patients with PCNSL, who were treated with MVP-R regimen, WBRT, or both between September 2011 and January 2020.

Large areas of paddy fields in southern China have been contaminated by arsenic (As), which causes serious problems such as the reduction of grain yield and high As concentrations in brown rice. To test the possibility of using plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) to promote rice growth and decrease As accumulation in brown rice in such paddy fields, three As-resistant PGPRs (strains S6, S7 and S10) were isolated and incorporated into two rice cultivars (Zhendao 14 and Jianyou G2) grown in different environments. The results showed that all PGPRs promoted rice growth (grain yield increased by 10.

This study is to investigate the roles of muscarinic receptor 3 (M receptor) in the effect of penehyclidine hydrochloride (PHC) upregulated beta-arrestin-1 expression in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated human pulmonary microvascular endothelial cell (HPMVEC). HPMVECs were transfected with a shRNA-containing plasmid that specifically targets M receptor mRNA. Cells were collected to measure F-actin contents, levels of intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM-1), as well as changes of F-actin cytoskeleton arrangement by Laser scanning confocal.
