Introduction: Data on the utility of coagulation factor testing (INR, aPTT) in non-anticoagulated patients with low-risk trauma is limited. In this study, we describe the rate in which coagulation studies are ordered this population and report the frequency in which these tests were abnormal and resulted in intervention.

Methods: This was a multi-center retrospective observational study evaluating patients aged 65 years and older with low-risk mechanical falls not on chronic oral anticoagulation.

Biodegradable scaffolds with tailored mechanical and structural properties are essential for scaffold-guided soft tissue regeneration (SGSTR). SGSTR requires scaffolds with controllable degradation and erosion characteristics to maintain mechanical and structural integrity and strength for at least four to six months. Additionally, these scaffolds must allow for porosity expansion to create space for the growing tissue and exhibit increased mechanical compliance to match the properties of the newly formed tissue.

Background: In this planned ancillary analysis of our completed clinical trial, we hypothesized that among older children with sickle cell anemia (SCA) and severe acute malnutrition, those with higher levels of food insecurity would have lower end-of-trial body mass index (BMI) z-scores compared to their peers with SCA and lower levels of food insecurity.

Procedure: Data from 108 children who completed the feasibility trial for managing severe acute malnutrition in older children with SCA in Nigeria were analyzed. Children aged 5-12 years old with severe acute malnutrition (BMI z-score of <-3.

Background: A preservation system, the Organ Care System (OCS; TransMedics) uses normothermic pulsatile perfusion during organ transport for heart transplantation. This system has demonstrated favorable outcomes in hearts recovered from extended-criteria donors after brain death (DBD) and donors after circulatory death (DCD).

Methods: The OCS Heart Perfusion Registry collects data on US heart transplantations using the OCS, static cold storage (SCS), or thoracoabdominal normothermic regional perfusion (NRP) recovered from DBD or DCD donors.

This Letter presents a search for highly ionizing magnetic monopoles in 262  μb^{-1} of ultraperipheral Pb+Pb collision data at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.36  TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. A new methodology that exploits the properties of clusters of hits reconstructed in the innermost silicon detector layers is introduced to study highly ionizing particles in heavy-ion data.
