Background & Aims: Circadian disturbances result in adverse health effects, including gastrointestinal symptoms. We investigated which physiological pathways in jejunal mucosa were disrupted during chronic jetlag and prevented during time-restricted feeding (TRF). Enteroids from Bmal1 and Bmal1 mice were used to replicate the processes that were affected by chronic jetlag and rescued by TRF.

However, tyrosine levels will increase, leading to acquired hypertyrosinemia, implying the need for an add-on treatment.

Background: Most studies on tumour progression from precursor lesion toward gallbladder adenocarcinoma investigate lesions sampled from distinct patients, providing an overarching view of pathogenic cascades. Whether this reflects the tumourigenic process in individual patients remains insufficiently explored. Genomic and epigenomic studies suggest that a subset of gallbladder cancers originate from biliary intraepithelial neoplasia (BilIN) precursor lesions, whereas others form independently from BilINs.

Geriatric inpatients' experiences with one-on-one chaplaincy visits in Belgium.

This qualitative study explores how geriatric inpatients ( = 103) experience a one-on-one chaplaincy visit. Although some patients expressed neutral or negative feelings about the chaplaincy visit, the large majority spoke in a very positive way about the chaplain's care. Using thematic analysis, we identified four main themes characterizing patients' experiences with chaplaincy visits.
