Purpose: In this study, we aimed to explore women's and their male partners' experiences with breast reconstruction (BR) decision and to study the evolution of their experiences since undergoing mastectomy to one year after.
Methods: Unstructured individual interviews with four couples facing mastectomy for breast cancer and BR decision-making were conducted following mastectomy (T1) and one year after mastectomy (T2). Longitudinal interpretative phenomenological analysis (LIPA) was conducted on the data.
Mini dental implants (MDIs) are alternatives to support an overdenture when a standard diameter implant cannot be placed due to lack of bone volume. They reduce the need for invasive bone grafting and lower the barrier for treatment. This prospective study reports on implant and patient-centered outcomes of flaplessly placed, early loaded MDIs supporting horseshoe-shaped maxillary overdentures after 7 years of function.

We and others have previously shown that these patients can develop severe alcohol-related liver disease (ARLD). Our aim was to describe the demographics, co-morbidities and mortality of a hospitalized population diagnosed with alcohol-related liver disease, in relation to BS.

We combine information from temporal sampling, visualization of 3D UMAP manifolds, pseudo-time and RNA velocity analyses, to show that iPSC-derived 3D retinal organoids broadly recapitulate the native developmental trajectories. However, we observe relaxation of spatial and temporal transcriptome control, premature emergence and dominance of photoreceptor precursor cells, and susceptibility of dynamically regulated pathways and transcription factors to culture conditions in retinal organoids.
