[20 years of endoscopic papillotomy. Analysis of 2752 patients at Erlangen Hospital].

Following the development and introduction of endoscopic papillotomy (EPT), 2752 procedures were performed at Erlangen University Hospitals between 1973 and 1993. All papillotomies were evaluated with regard to indications, technique, results, complications and mortality. To show the development process clearly, results for the periods 1973-1980 (A), 1981-1987 (B) and 1988-1993 (C) were summarised separately.
