A panel of ten monoclonal antibodies to aflatoxins B1, B2, and G2 was produced and comprehensively characterized. The affinity and cross reactivity of these antibodies were determined using the methods of direct, indirect, and competitive ELISA. The structures of monoclonal antibody genes were comprehensively studied and the variable and constant domains of the antibody genes were cloned and sequenced.

An oligonucleotide microarray for detection and identification of orthopoxviruses was developed. Genus specific and orthopoxvirus species-specific regions of the genes encoding chemokine binding and alpha/beta-interferon binding proteins were used as a target. The developed microarray allows the variola, monkeypox, cowpox, vaccinia, camel-pox and ectromelia (mousepox) viruses to be distinguished with a high degree of reliability.

Clinical and laboratory data have been compared in patients with ankylostomiasis and healthy population of Guinea Republic. An increase in ankylostomiasis morbidity during the humid season has been observed. The clinical pattern of the disease did not differ from that earlier described in literature.
