Pembrolizumab is a programmed cell death protein 1, or PD-1, inhibitor therapy immunotherapy for patients with advanced melanoma. This report discusses a series of documented cases of sarcoid-like reactions associated with this therapy. Three patients with malignant melanoma developed metastatic disease and were treated with pembrolizumab immunotherapy.

Introduction: Axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) is currently the recommended procedure in patients with tumor-positive sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB). A significant proportion of patients with positive SLNs will not have any additional metastases in nonsentinel lymph nodes (NSLNs). Predictive nomograms could identify a subgroup of patients with low or high risk of further disease in whom completion ALND can be avoided or recommended.

Many conditions can cause or mimic appendicitis, of which necrotising arteritis remains an unusual cause. Its significance stems from its association with the vasculitides in general. We describe here a 15-year-old-girl with an incidental finding of a focal arteritis in the vasculature of the appendix and with right iliac fossa pain.
