The relationship between folate and the risk of cancer remains undetermined partially due to the dynamic changes in folate intakes at the population level caused by folic acid fortification implemented in the USA and other countries. To control for the interference from fortification, we assessed the relationship between folate and lung cancer death (LCD) risk among a national cohort established years before folic acid fortification. We followed up 14 528 adults aged 19 years or older who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (1988-1994) on average for 14 years.

Purpose: The purpose of this quality improvement project was to develop guidance for safe patient handling and mobility efforts to prevent pressure injuries (PIs) within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) when slings and other transfer devices are left under patients.
Participants And Setting: Health care staff (n = 112) in patient safety and nursing at 77 unique VHA facilities responded to surveys between November and December 2019. Interviews (n = 24) were conducted using purposive sampling with VHA staff at facilities with highest and lowest PI rates (n = 9) between January and March 2021.
Purpose: Impacting 1 in 1000 women, untreated postpartum psychosis is associated with a 4% infanticide rate. This systematic review aims to identify factors that are associated with infanticide resulting from psychosis in the puerperal period and pinpoint areas of missed opportunity for intervention.
Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted in accordance with PRISMA guidelines to identify and synthesize cases of maternal infanticide among perinatal females with evidence of postpartum psychosis.

However, doubled DNA management can be challenging for nascent polyploids. The study of within-species polyploidy (autopolyploidy) permits focus on this DNA management aspect, decoupling it from the confounding effects of hybridization (in allopolyploid hybrids).
