Background: The number of people living with congenital heart disease (CHD) in 2017 was estimated to be 12 million, which was 19% higher than that in 1990. However, their death rate declined by 35%, emphasizing the importance of monitoring their quality of life due to its impact on several patient outcomes. The main objective of this study is to analyze how parents' psychosocial factors contribute to children's and adolescents' perceptions of their QoL, focusing on their medical condition.

The objective of this study was to characterize hemodynamic changes during trans-vascular stimulation of the renal nerve and their dependence on stimulation parameters. We employed a stimulation catheter inserted in the right renal artery under fluoroscopic guidance, in pigs. Systolic, diastolic and pulse blood pressure and heart rate were recorded during stimulations delivered at different intravascular sites along the renal artery or while varying stimulation parameters (amplitude, frequency, and pulse width).

Activated carbon adsorption is a widely used technology for the removal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). However, the rapid breakthrough of PFAS in activated carbon filters poses a challenge to meet the very low allowable PFAS concentrations in drinking water, leading to high operational costs. In this study, we conducted batch isotherm and kinetic adsorption experiments using nine different types of PFAS molecules at concentrations typically found in water sources used for drinking water production (0.

Background: This is a multicentre, single-arm, phase II study aimed at further exploring the activity of trabectedin as second-/further-line treatment in retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma (LMS) and well-differentiated/dedifferentiated liposarcoma (LPS).

Materials And Methods: The primary endpoint was the growth modulation index (GMI) defined as the ratio between PFS under trabectedin (PFS) and during previous chemotherapy treatment: time to progression (TTP-1). Secondary endpoints were objective response rate (ORR) and PFS.
