Background: An unhealthy diet is a major contributor to several noncommunicable diseases, including cardiovascular diseases (CVD), the leading cause of death worldwide. Additionally, our food system has significant impacts on the environment. The EAT-Lancet Commission has recommended a healthy diet that preserves global environmental resources.

Objectives: This study aimed to develop a mobile application (App) to be used by primary care teams in the active search for functional impairment, long-term symptoms, and disabilities in individuals who have recovered from COVID-19, contributing to early treatment and referrals for multidisciplinary care and rehabilitation. This experimental study used the minimum viable product (MVP) methodology to develop an App named ReabilitaCOVID.

Methods: This methodology involves ideation, content creation, prototype creation, usability tests, and adjustments based on feedback.

Here, we show that the replacement of the distal residues Asp and/or Arg of the DyP peroxidases from Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas putida results in functional enzymes, albeit with spectroscopically perturbed active sites. All the enzymes can be activated either by the addition of exogenous HO or by in situ electrochemical generation of the reactive oxygen species (ROS) OH, O and HO. The latter method leads to broader and upshifted pH-activity profiles.

Pyranoflavylium cations are synthetic analogues of pyranoanthocyanins, the much more color-stable compounds that are formed spontaneously from grape anthocyanins during the maturation of red wines. In the present work, our studies of the photophysical properties of pyranoanthocyanin analogues are extended to include nine pyranoflavylium cations substituted with one or two bromo and/or iodo heavy atoms. The room temperature fluorescence, 77 K fluorescence and phosphorescence, triplet formation in solution, and sensitized singlet oxygen formation, with excited state acidity suppressed by the addition of trifluoroacetic acid, are compared to those of similar pyranoflavylium cations that do not contain a heavy atom.

Objectives: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the differences in intraoperative nociception, incision size and operative time between midline (OVE) and flank ovariectomy (OVE) in feral or stray cats.

Methods: Two groups of animals, the OVE group (n = 19) and the OVE group (n = 19), were evaluated at six intraoperative time points. Cats assigned to both groups were premedicated with dexmedetomidine (20 μg/kg IM) and methadone (0.
