Objective: To analyze the association between sociodemographic characteristics, level of perceived stress and resilience with family functioning of immigrants in Brazil.
Method: Cross-sectional study with 122 immigrants living in a municipality in southern Brazil. Data collected in 2021, using questions for characterization, Family Cohesion and Adaptability, Resilience and Perceived Stress Assessment Scale.

Objective: To verify the effects of instructional therapeutic play on the behavior of children during the first attempt at peripheral intravenous catheterization.
Method: This is a quasi-experimental post hoc analysis with a non-equivalent control group, secondary to a randomized clinical trial. The convenience sample comprised 193 children, allocated for convenience into an intervention group (preparation for catheterization with a therapeutic play; n=101 children) and a control group (preparation with structured conversation supported by the use of a booklet; n=92 children).
Introduction: Adenoid basal cell carcinoma is a rare cervical malignancy which is indolent in nature but resembles more commonly occurring aggressive malignancies.
Cases: Here we describe three cases of cervical adenoid basal cell carcinoma. All patients had a history of cervical dysplasia with high-risk HPV.
Objectives: This study aimed to define handgrip strength (HGS) cutoff points to predict 1-year mortality in adult patients with liver cirrhosis.
Methods: This is an analysis of cohort databases from four reference centers in Brazil. Inpatients or outpatients with cirrhosis and aged ≥18 years were included.
