Multiple next-generation molecules targeting estrogen receptor α (ERα) are being investigated in breast cancer clinical trials, encompassing thousands of women globally. Development of these molecules was partly motivated by the discovery of resistance-associated mutations in ESR1 (encodes ERα). Here, we studied the impact of ERα antagonist/degraders against Esr1 mutations expressed in mouse mammary glands.

Despite effective psychotherapy options for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), some patients do not fully respond, and even among those reporting substantial improvement, residual symptoms following treatment are common. Psychiatric conditions frequently co-occur with PTSD, yet research on residual symptoms among comorbid samples is lacking. This study examined residual symptoms of PTSD and depression among 71 active duty service members with PTSD and comorbid major depressive disorder (MDD).

Background: Executive dysfunction, including working memory deficits, is prominent in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and can impede treatment effectiveness. Intervention approaches that target executive dysfunction alongside standard PTSD treatments could boost clinical response. The current study reports secondary analyses from a randomized controlled trial testing combined PTSD treatment with a computerized training program to improve executive dysfunction.

Study Design: Age-stratified analyses comparing the most common conditions captured by the Charlson, Elixhauser, and Multimorbidity Weighted (MWI) indices, and Classification Software Refined (CCSR) and Chronic Condition Indicator (CCI) algorithms.
