A 39-year-old woman who had undergone fibular flap reconstruction and simultaneous implant placement after the surgical removal of a cemento-ossifying fibroma was experiencing mild discomfort 3 years later and requested an implant-supported prosthesis to restore her edentulous left maxillary quadrant. Initially, an interim removable partial denture was provided and later duplicated with clear resin. Article Synopsis
  • * Findings showed that younger patients with fewer comorbidities had much better access to a Specialized Haematology Unit (SHU), leading to more favorable treatment outcomes compared to older or more severely ill patients.
  • * The research concluded that timely access to SHU is crucial for effective diagnosis and treatment of AML, emphasizing the need for improved care pathways, especially for the most deprived patients.

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze a new dynamical model pertaining to bovine Babesiosis transmission, and investigate its consequent morphology. We present and study various ramifications of our mathematical model for bovine Babesiosis spread, given, firstly, by a temporal system of ordinary differential equations and, finally, by a spatio-temporal system consisting of reaction-diffusion equations. Diffusion terms are incorporated into the model, using specific derivations for both infected ticks and infected bovines.

Background: Gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is a rare disease, and most available data on gastric MALT lymphoma (GML) come from clinical studies of selected patients treated in centres of excellence.

Aims: To analyse the clinical features, management and survival of GML patients in a population-based study in France METHODS: All new cases of GML diagnosed between 2002 and 2010 in 11 French areas covered by cancer registries were included. Pathology reports were verified and, if necessary, reviewed by an expert pathologist.

Tumor cells harboring stem-like/cancer stem cell (CSC) properties have been identified and isolated from numerous hematological and solid malignancies. These stem-like tumor cells can persist following conventional cytoreductive therapies, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, thereby repopulating the tumor and seeding relapse and/or metastasis. We have previously shown that natural killer (NK) cells preferentially target stem-like tumor cells via non- major histocompatibility complex (MHC) restricted mechanisms.
