The impact of extent of nodal involvement on stage IIIA (N2) non-small cell lung cancer outcomes.

Objective: Stage IIIA (N2) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treatment can depend on the extent of nodal involvement, with surgery considered for limited disease and definitive chemoradiation preferred for bulky or multi-station disease. Evidence to support management is limited. This study evaluated the impact of the extent of stage IIIA (N2) nodal involvement on outcomes after surgery.

Effects of vitamin D3, omega-3 fatty acids and a simple home exercise program on change in physical activity among generally healthy and active older adults: The 3-year DO-HEALTH trial.

Objectives: Physical function and physical activity (PA) are key drivers of health and autonomy at older age. We examined the effects of supplemental vitamin D3, supplemental marine omega-3 fatty acids (omega-3s), and a simple home exercise program (SHEP), alone or in combination, on change in physical function and PA among generally healthy older adults.

Design: Multi-center, 2 × 2 × 2 factorial design, randomized controlled trial, follow-up of three years METHODS: Self-reported PA and physical function were pre-defined outcomes of the DO-HEALTH trial, which included older adults (≥70 years) free of major comorbidities.

Association of Average Cyst Diameter Versus Single Maximum Diameter of Pancreatic Cysts to Cyst Volume and Impact on Screening Guideline Classification.

Objective: To compare the association of single maximum diameter and average cyst diameter of pancreatic cysts measured on magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) with segmented cyst volume and secondarily evaluate the effect of average cyst diameter on screening guideline classification.

Methods: Consecutive patients with pancreatic cysts < 3 cm on MRCP in 2017 were retrospectively identified. The single maximum diameter and perpendicular short axis diameter of pancreatic cysts obtained on coronal MRCP were measured and their average was taken to determine average cyst diameter.

Benefit of adjuvant chemotherapy for T1cN0M0 and selected T1bN0M0 triple-negative breast cancer: a nationwide cancer registry-based study.

Background: The efficacy of adjuvant chemotherapy for T1N0M0 triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has not been clearly elucidated. Thus, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy of adjuvant chemotherapy for patients with T1a-cN0M0 TNBC.

Patients And Methods: Patients newly diagnosed with TNBC between 2011 and 2015 were identified and followed up until the end of 2020 using the Taiwan Cancer Registry.
