[Medical care provision to the victim children of Haiti].

Treatment and diagnostic measures, including anesthesia during catastrophes and natural disasters are a world known problem. The paper presents the experience of anesthetic care provision during specialized surgical care to the victim children of the earthquake in Haiti. The materials of analysis were 529 anesthesias conducted to 72 children, who were in the treatment for crush syndrome, skeletal and concomitant injury.

[Magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis of knee joint sarcomas].

The purpose of the investigation was to study the potentialities of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of knee joint sarcomas. The paper presents the results of examining 13 patients of different age, shows the potentialities of the technique in the identification of knee joint sarcomas, and describes the MRI semiotics of sarcomas in both the routine study and that using contrast enhancement in lesions of bone and soft tissue elements in the presence of regional metastases.

[Arthroscopy in injuries of the knee joint in children].

The author analyses his experience in performing arthroscopy in 51 children with injuries of the knee joint. 21 patients had haemarthroses of the knee joint. Arthroscopy revealed avulsion of radiopaque osteochondrous fragments in 8 of them.
