The 3D reconstruction of 100 μm- and 600 μm-thick fibrous poly-L/L-lactide scaffolds was performed by confocal laser scanning microscopy and supported by scanning electron microscopy and showed that the density of the fibers on the side adjacent to the electrode is higher, which can affect cell diffusion, while the pore size is generally the same. Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells cultured in a 600 μm-thick scaffold formed colonies and produced conditions for cell differentiation. An in vitro study of stem cells after 7 days revealed that cell proliferation and hepatocyte growth factor release in the 600 μm-thick scaffold were higher than in the 100 μm-thick scaffold.

Tumor-derived autologous antigenic peptides when bound to endogenous 70 kDa family heat shock proteins (HSP70) are able to induce effective T-cell responses against tumors. However, efficacy of HSPbased vaccines in clinical practical stand point still has a number of certain limitations including an activation of immune responses against alien non-human HSPs. In this study we reconstructed the complexes of human recombinant HSPs70 (human recombinant HSP70A1B and HSC70 mixture; hrHSPs70) with antigenic lowweight peptides derived from mice B16F10 melanoma cell lysate (PepMCL) in vitro and investigated the prophylactic potential of these complexes to activate anti-tumor immunity in melanoma mouse model.

Echolocation was used to diagnose extraorganic [correction of intraorgan] tumors of the neck in 18 patients. The results evidence that echo signals help locate the tumor and its relation to other tissues and organs of the neck, its structure and size, the presence of the capsule or aggressive growth, and locate tumorous nodes beyond the tumor. Echolocation of tumors of the neck is an informative and simple diagnostic method.
