Naive perspective-takers often perceive the social world in a simplistic and uniform way, whereas sophisticated ones recognize the diversity and complexity of others' minds. This commonly accepted distinction points to a possibility of greater inter-individual variability in mentalizing for sophisticated than naive perspective-takers, a difference previously overlooked in research. In the current study, participants were asked to watch a mentalizing-related movie and their neural responses, interpretations of the characters' mental states, and eye-gaze trajectories were recorded.

Background: TENIS syndrome is characterized by reduced expression of sodium-iodine symporter, rising serum thyroglobulin (Tg) levels, and negative whole-body 131 I scans. In such patients, somatostatin receptor imaging with 68 Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT (somatostatin receptor [SSR] PET/CT) and 18 F-FDG PET/CT (FDG PET/CT) can identify metastases and were compared under 2 conditions: elevated (eTSH) and suppressed (sTSH) TSH serum levels. Potential candidates for peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRNT) were identified in 15 patients prospectively enrolled.

Introduction: Gastric cancer is still the third cause of death worldwide due to malignant neoplasms. Its prognostic indices have not yet been well defined for surgical intervention in terms of stratifying the intensity of chronic inflammation. The Glasgow Prognostic Score (GPS) and O-POSSUM and P-POSSUM Indices may constitute these standardizations and were tested to assess the association between them and the prognosis after curative gastrectomy.

Background: Papillary thyroid carcinoma has become increasingly prevalent over the years. Avoiding unnecessary treatments and the risk of complications is essential, as well as understanding the mechanisms of tumor progression and the conditions that indicate a worse prognosis. Assessment of the tumor microenvironment can allow us understand how the immune system organizes itself to contain neoplastic progression.
