Introduction: Overexpression of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) on the vasculature of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) presents a promising avenue for targeted endogenous radiotherapy with [Lu]Lu-PSMA-I&T. This study aimed to assess and compare the therapeutic efficacy of a single dose with a fractionated dose of [Lu]Lu-PSMA-I&T in an orthotopic model of TNBC.
Methods: Rj:NMRI-Foxn1 mice were used as recipients of MDA-MB-231 xenografts.
Unlabelled: As part of the engineering of bone grafts, wrapping constructs in well-vascularized tissue, such as fascial flaps, improves bone formation. Our aim was to understand the cross-sectional vascularization pattern of human adipofascial flaps for this application.
Methods: Seven adipofascial anterolateral thigh (ALT) flaps were harvested from five human cadaveric specimens.
Immune checkpoint inhibitors have shown remarkable efficacy as new-generation drugs in anti-tumor therapy. However, the nonspecific activation of the immune system leads to a number of adverse side effects, so-called immune-related adverse events (irAEs), including the occurrence of diarrhea and colitis in about one third of treated patients.Endoscopically and histologically, there is significant overlap of immune-mediated colitis with classic IBD, making differentiation difficult.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground/goals: Inpatient colonoscopy preparations are often inadequate, compromising patient safety and procedure quality, while resulting in greater hospital costs. The aims of this study were to: (1) design and implement an electronic inpatient split-dose bowel preparation order set; (2) assess the intervention's impact upon preparation adequacy, repeated colonoscopies, hospital days, and costs.
Study: We conducted a single center prospective pragmatic quasiexperimental study of hospitalized adults undergoing colonoscopy.
