The Illuminating the Druggable Genome (IDG) consortium generated reagents, biological model systems, data, informatic databases, and computational tools. The Resource Dissemination and Outreach Center (RDOC) played a central administrative role, organized internal meetings, fostered collaboration, and coordinated consortium-wide efforts. The RDOC developed and deployed a Resource Management System (RMS) to enable efficient workflows for collecting, accessing, validating, registering, and publishing resource metadata.

The method can also serve as a guide for other antibody-based high-throughput screening methods. β2 integrins are leukocyte-specific adhesion molecules that are crucial in immune responses.

Consequently, glial cells (astrocytes and microglia) in the spinal cord are activated and mediate the release of proinflammatory cytokines that act to enhance pain transmission and sensitize mechanical non-nociceptive fibers which ultimately results in light touch hypersensitivity, clinically observed as allodynia. Pramipexole, a D2/D3 preferring agonist, is FDA-approved for the treatment of Parkinson's disease and demonstrates efficacy in animal models of inflammatory pain.

The strength of such facilitation is predicted to be influenced by both beneficiary traits and abiotic context. One key trait of animals that could control the strength of facilitation is beneficiary body size because it should determine how beneficiaries fit within and exploit stress ameliorating habitat modifications.
