Aim: To identify predictors and construct a model for predicting left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction (EF) in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
Material And Methods: This was a prospective registry study of patients with STEMI admitted within the first 24 hours of the disease onset. Patients were evaluated and treated according to the current clinical guidelines.
DNA aptamers are oligonucleotides that specifically bind to target molecules, similar to how antibodies bind to antigens. We identified an aptamer named MEZ that is highly specific to the receptor-binding domain, RBD, of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein from the Wuhan-Hu-1 strain. The SELEX procedure was utilized to enrich the initial 31-mer oligonucleotide library with the target aptamer.

According to NMR and DFT studies, the corresponding O,C-diprotonated forms of the starting furan acids and esters should be reactive electrophilic species in these transformations. Starting compounds and their hydroarylation products, at a concentration of 64 µg/mL, demonstrate good antimicrobial activity against yeast-like fungi .

Airway hemangiomas are not that common, but they can lead to dyspnoea, as well as to life-threatening complications.

Development of specific therapy and biosensors is complicated by an emergence of new viral strains bearing amino acid substitutions and probable differences in glycosylation sites. Here, we studied affinity of a set of aptamers to two Wuhan-type RBD of S-protein expressed in Chinese hamster ovary cell line and that differ in glycosylation patterns.
