Objectives: Efficient performance evaluation is essential for driving improvement, ensuring accountability and optimisation of outcomes in healthcare delivery. However, its complexity often leads to ineffective implementation. This article aims to advance the field of performance measurement within alternative healthcare delivery models of care through the development and validation of a comprehensive evaluation framework.

In the body, capillary beds fulfill the metabolic needs of cells by acting as the sites of diffusive transport for vital gasses and nutrients. In artificial tissues, replicating the scale and complexity of capillaries has proved challenging, especially in a three-dimensional context. In order to better develop thick artificial tissues, it will be necessary to recreate both the form and function of capillaries.

The what, the when and the how: A qualitative study of allied health decision-maker perspectives on factors influencing the development and implementation of advanced and extended scopes of practice in Australia.

Background: Health workforce supply is critical to ensuring the delivery of essential healthcare and may be enhanced via mechanisms which alter the scopes of practice of health professions. The aim of this paper is to study the collective perspectives of allied health decision-makers on factors which influence their development and implementation of advanced and extended scope of practice initiatives, and how they contribute to scope of practice change. The reasoning for the selection of each factor will also be examined.

A survey of the members of the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons and factors associated with well-being.

Objective: The goal of this study was to survey the members of the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons (ASPN) to assess the prevalence and associated risks of burnout among pediatric neurosurgeons. The authors aimed to identify the factors that most significantly contributed to this risk to provide a baseline group of characteristics to improve physician well-being.

Methods: Institutional Review Board approval from the University of Arizona was obtained, and the 7-question and 9-question Mayo Physician Well-Being Index (WBI) was distributed to members of the ASPN (n = 275).

Core elements of national policy for digital health technology evidence and access.

Digital health technologies (DHT) offer the ability to deliver personalized care, lower barriers to access, and positively impact health outcomes. However, DHT utilization is impacted by insufficient market access pathways. A policy “full-stack”—including regulatory authorization, product value assessment, pricing and reimbursement, and patient access infrastructure—offers a framework for DHT integration into national healthcare ecosystems.
