Objective: To lower the rate of hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPIs) by identifying at-risk patients based on the Braden Scale score, evaluating nutrition using a Mini Nutrition Assessment (MNA) tool, and implementing nutrition improvement measures.

This scoping review provides overview on the historical and major developments, current status, quantitative magnetic resonance (MR) studies and the role of medical physics bodies in MR imaging in Africa. The study analyzed MRI availability in 32 (59 %) of the 54 African countries. South Africa and Egypt have the most dominant MR systems.

Objectives Schizophrenia, particularly treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS), is one of the most disabling psychiatric disorders in terms of adverse effects on the quality of life (QOL) of patients. Subjective QOL has become a particularly crucial target that should be improved with treatment, since improved QOL may lead to recovery in patients with schizophrenia. However, there is little evidence on the efficacy of recommended psychosocial interventions on non-symptomatic measures such as QOL.

Pleural anthracosis is rare and, in most cases, is diagnosed incidentally or at autopsy. We report a 67-year-old man with pleural anthracosis. He was initially referred for possible tuberculous pleural effusion and had recurrent admissions for symptomatic pleural effusion, which increased with each subsequent episode.
