[Biologic doses of sun ultraviolet in various geographic regions of Ukraine].

The values of minimal erytemal doses (MED) were determinated for solar ultraviolet (UV) for two geographic zones of Ukraine taking in account the seasons of a year. It was calculated a daily energetic loud produced by solar UV in summer for persons in outdoor. The idea concerning seasonal alternations of human individual sensitivity to solar UV was established.

[Bases for allowable norms of infrared radiation exposure in accordance with the radiation spectrum].

Specification of norms is the most radical protective means in a system of activities reducing harmful influence on human health. For effective work of norms, the authors specified hygienic classification covering industrial sources of infrared radiation. The classification is based on biologic effect peculiarities depending on maximal energy in the radiation spectrum.

[The status of occupational morbidity in Ukraine today].

Data are submitted on the pattern and levels of occupational morbidity in Ukraine in different branches of national economy, by forms of pathology, with those individuals presenting with occupational health problems having gotten distributed by sex, age, and service duration. The article addresses the issue of significance in the formation of occupational pathology and its levels of different factors and causes (economical, social, medical). The status of the occupational pathology service in the country is considered, with special emphasis being placed on inadequacy of detecting occupational diseases.

[The influence of the optical irradiation of natural and artificial sources on humans].

The authors studied parameters of human natural insolation in relationships with season and functioning of main body systems. The functioning rhythms appeared to depend on natural saturation with optic energy. Regulation of light energy emitted by artificial sources requires consideration of natural background insolation in various seasons.
