A state of autoimmunity was studied in 25 patients, suffering diffuse toxic goiter (DTG), and in 20--in nodular euthyroid goiter (NEG) before and after the operation. The level of circulating immune complexes, quantity of cytotoxic lymphocytes, the subpopulation index, the apoptosis marker were determined. There was established, that in NEG autoimmune disorders have occurred rarer and were less severe, than in DTG.

The isolates of Escherichia coli and Proteus spp. from the majority of the centres were highly susceptible to the antibiotics (90 to 100 per cent of the isolates).

With the use of magnetic field or laser beam intoxication diminished, the organism's immunological status was stabilized within a shorter time, the wound process followed a quicker course, and treatment took less time. The magnetic-laser effect has advantages over separate use of these factors.

August 1991
365 females followed up for 4-6 years who had new-onset or repeated nephropathy at pregnancy (NP) showed during the II and III trimester impaired humoral immunity evident from elevated levels of IgA, IgM and CIC. NP relapses at repeated pregnancies occurred in 89%, residual manifestations of the disease in 45% of the examinees. Postnatal immunological studies of women with previous NP but no clinical signs of it at the time of examination still continued to demonstrate alterations in cellular and humoral immunity.
