- - Lung ultrasonography (LUS) is a valuable tool for diagnosing lung issues, but there are no existing educational programs for medical students, prompting the creation of a training course during their emergency department (ED) rotation.
- - A study involving 40 fourth-year medical students showed significant improvement in LUS skills, with average test scores rising from 42.1 to 82.6 after training, as well as high success rates in chest wall scanning.
- - After the course, students expressed increased confidence in performing LUS and agreed that such training should be a part of the medical school curriculum, demonstrating that limited education can effectively enhance their understanding and application of LUS.
