Bioelectronic face masks can easily collect biomarkers in saliva, in which free cortisol is abundant. However, conventional bioelectronic face masks involve significant challenges in terms of permeability and inhalation due to their nonpermeable film-type structure. Herein, we introduce a flexible and permeable nanomesh-based wearable biosensor designed for bioelectronic face masks that monitor cortisol levels.

Similar but Different Three Major Traditional Medicines in East Asia: A Bibliometric Analysis.

Objective: Traditional medicine (TM) has played a key role in the health care system of East Asian countries, including China, Japan and South Korea. This bibliometric study analyzes the recent research status of these three TMs, including traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), traditional Korean medicine (TKM), and Kampo medicine (KM).

Methods: Research topics of studies published for recent 10 years (2014 to 2023), through a search on MEDLINE via PubMed, was analyzed.

Electrically induced amorphization is uncommon and has so far been realized by pulsed electrical current in only a few material systems, which are mostly based on the melt-quench process. However, if the melting step can be avoided and solid-state amorphization can be realized electrically, it opens up the possibility for low-power device applications. Here we report an energy-efficient, unconventional long-range solid-state amorphization in a new ferroic β″-phase of indium selenide nanowires through the application of a direct-current bias rather than a pulsed electrical stimulus.

Methods: We compared and analyzed the performance of three WES kits from Twist and Agilent using the canine genome as the target to perform genetic analysis of canine diseases effectively.
