Pseudoaneurysm of the iliac arteries are rarely reported in the literature. Failure to identify the pathology may delay the necessary treatment, and potentially lead to high mortality. We report a case of ruptured mycotic iliac artery aneurysm in a 46-year-old man with newly diagnosed diabetes mellitus.

MR Imaging of the Achilles Tendon after Surgical Repair.

Achilles tendon tear is common and increasingly frequent. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the modality of choice for radiological evaluation. It is accurate to assess the status and integrity of the tendon with well documented features.

Benzodiazepine use and risk of mortality among patients with schizophrenia: a retrospective longitudinal study.

Objective: This study examined the association between benzodiazepine use alone or in combination with antipsychotics and risk of mortality in patients with schizophrenia.

Methods: A retrospective longitudinal analysis was performed using Medicaid claims data merged with death certificate data for 18,953 patients (aged 18-58 years) with ICD-9-diagnosed schizophrenia followed from July 1, 2006, to December 31, 2013. Cox proportional hazard analyses were used to estimate the risk of all-cause mortality associated with benzodiazepine use; adjustment was made for a wide array of fixed and time-varying confounders, including demographics, psychiatric and medical comorbidities, and other psychotropic medications.

A Comparison of Benefit Limits in Mental Health.

This study provides insight to policy makers and stakeholders on how three types of benefits limits on Medicaid-covered mental health services might affect access for consumers diagnosed with severe mental illness. The study used a retrospective cohort design with data for Medicaid-covered, community-based mental health services provided in Ohio during fiscal year 2010. Log-binomial regression was used for the analysis.

The absence of both tibial and fibular hallucal sesamoids is an extremely rare condition. It can present as hallux valgus, hallux varus, or metatarsalgia. It can result from primary mesenchymal differentiation failure or an ossification problem.

Analysis of causes of death for all decedents in Ohio with and without mental illness, 2004-2007.

Objective: This study compared causes of death, crude mortality rates, and standardized mortality ratios (SMRs) between decedents with mental illness in Ohio's publicly funded mental health system ("mental illness decedents") and all Ohio decedents.

Methods: Ohio death certificates and Ohio Department of Mental Health service utilization data were used to assess mortality among decedents from 2004 to 2007. Age-adjusted SMRs and age-adjusted mortality rates were calculated across race and sex strata.

Traditionally, short scan helical FDK algorithms have been implemented based on horizontal transaxial slices.
