In the Sverdlovsk region there have developed and implemented methodological approaches to the optimization oj the activity of the Directorate and the Centre directed to the improvement of the sanitary and epidemiological surveillance and in the sphere of the protection of the rights of consumers in the framework of the development of an comprehensive regional system of risk management for the population's health in the Sverdlovsk region.

Control and supervision measures--one of the main technologies of Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights protection and Human Welfare in the overall system of risk management for public health and damage to property consumers, aimed at the solution of the prior tasks in the field of assurance of the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population and consumer rights protection. The effectiveness of this technology depends on the correct choice of priority objects of supervision, which form the main problems in the sanitary and epidemiological situation and in the consumer market. The application of is approach has led to more effective oversight activity and the improvement of a number of indices characterizing the achievement of the objectives in the common system of risk management for public health and property of consumers.

Intraoperative fluorescence diagnostics upon recurrent operations for brain gliomas.

Unlabelled: The method of fluorescent diagnosis (FD) using 5-ALA has been widely employed in surgery of primary intracerebral tumors over the last years. The issue of FD application in surgery of gliomas with continued growth has remained less studied.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of using FD with 5-ALA and laser spectral analysis in surgery of brain gliomas with continued growth.

[Development of the system of dietary nutrition in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation].

The analysis of the existing system of organization dietary personnel in the Armed Forces has been done. The new system of improvement of dietary nutrition for military personnel was developed. This system is based on scientifically proven food rationings that provide a balance of nutrients and mechanical and chemical sparing of GI tract.

Intraoperative combined spectroscopy (optical biopsy) of cerebral gliomas.

Clinical studies have revealed high selectivity of 5-ALA-induced protoporphyrin IX accumulation in different brain tumors. Modern methods of evaluation of tissues visible fluorescence are based on the qualitative analysis of the images. Up-to-date methods of combined spectral analysis allow fulfilling the intraoperative quantitative evaluation of the protoporphyrin IX content, as well as the scattering and absorption properties of a tissue.

[Intraoperative fluorescent visualization and laser spectrosopy in intrinsic brain tumor surgery].

Absence of well-defined borders of the glial tumor due to their infiltrative growth is one of the main issues in neurosurgery. A number of methods for intraoperative visualization are available today. The fluorescent metabolic navigation with 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) combined with quantitative laser spectroscopy is one of the latest technique.

[Analysis of the health of citizens of military age in Orenburg region].

Results of medical examination of citizens of military age living in the Orenburg region for a decade are given. Noted that over the study period in the region have been positive changes: performance fitness for military service on health increased from 62.9% in 2000 to 67.

[First experience of photodynamic diagnosis and laser spectroalanysis in surgery of intracranial meningiomas].

Photodynamic diagnosis (PDD) has been actively implemented into neurooncological practice, especially in cerebral gliomas surgery. This paper describes our first experience of PDD combined with laser spectroanalysis in intracranial meningiomas. The study included 21 patients (8 male and 13 female patients, mean age was 58 years, range--between 37 and 74 years) with intracranial meningiomas operated with PDD in Burdenko Neurosurgical Institute between 2008 and 2011.

[Quality of life in cryolite production workers depending on length of service].

Federal budgetary establishment of a science "the Ekaterinburg medical centre of science of preventive maintenance and health protection of workers industrial plants". Findings are that adaptation level and life quality parameters progressively decrease with longer length of service. The most unfavorable parameters are seen in cryolite production workers with length of service over 20 years and in age group of 45-55 years.

[Emerging issues concerning hygiene in the Russian aluminum industry].

In this study the data of multiyear investigations of occupational and environmental hazards at different enterprises of the Russian aluminum industry are presented. Basing on these data, we have been elaborated the algorithm and methodological approaches on management of the occupational and ecology-related risks using hygienic safety criteria, risk evaluation technique, epidemiological and economic analysis.

[Quantitative estimation of area parameters (with representatives of genus rana as a case study)].

A quantitative method of species "point" area analysis is considered that provides the interpolation of species distribution to the whole territory on the basis of its relationships with climatic and relief variables. It is shown that application of standart statistical interpolation techniques is incorrect. The proposed approach is based on interpolation onto the whole territory the species-specific relations with environmental variables detected in single "points".

[Analysis of recruits and doctors satisfaction in Orenburg region organization of medical support training of citizens for military service].

In the article results of questioning on studying of opinion of 1023 recruits at the age from 18 till 26 years and 323 doctors--the experts working as a part of the invocatory commissions of municipal unions of the Orenburg region about the organization of medical maintenance of preparation of citizens to military service, including preventive medical inspections, medical-improving actions, supervision of young men and physical examination in the invocatory commissions where the validity category to military service is defined are presented.

The article presents the analyze of indexes of morbidity among young men of preinduction age in Orenburg region. Was given a valuation of level of risk of forming of diseases. Were shown causes of deficit of weight, growth of pathology of locomotor apparatus and psychic diseases among young men of preinduction age.

[Health and life quality of workers in industrial Urals region].

The authors present data on occupational morbidity among workers of Urals area, life quality of the workers in some economic branches, on work process role in chronoalgorithm of body systems functioning. Suggestions cover a variant of program aimed to preventive therapy and preservation of healthy lifestyle.

[Regional "occupational medicine" system--effective model of occupational risks evaluation and management].

Sverdlovsk regional government specified and approved a concept of diversified system "Occupational medicine" to preserve and improve health of workers in Sverdlovsk region. Implementation of the concept enables to put new organizational approaches into practice for improved management of available medical care for all workers, for increased quality of this care, for better clinical work and better health of economically active population in Sverdlovsk region.

[Forecasting risks of occupational dust diseases in individuals contacting chrysotile-asbestos dust].

Analysing terms of occupational respiratory dust diseases formation proved that length of service under exposure to chrysotile-asbestos aerosols, which is according to prognosis associated with final development of dust diseases in half of the examinees, is 33.55 years. Dynamics of final diagnostic criteria formation for occupational disease in relation to length of service is not a linear type.

The authors analyze and present the results of spectroscopic studies into changes in the accumulation of the photosensitizer Photosens, its elimination kinetics and distribution in the tissues of the eye and eyelids, as well as in the tumors that have developed at these sites. The findings allowed the authors to estimate the duration of the agent's persistence in the eye tissues and the time interval associated with the high risk for phototoxic eyelid skin and conjunctival reactions and to determine a possibility of and conditions for photodynamic therapy, as well as the length of hospital stay when the latter was performed.

[Experimental rationale for a transscleral approach to thermotherapy for intraocular tumors, by using a photosensitizer].
